Cult Classic Film ‘The Princess Bride’ Revived Through NFTs

The 1987 cult classic film, The Princess Bride, is celebrating its 34th anniversary. Fans will have the chance to collect their favorite characters in the form of NFTs.

Collectors will be able to revisit the nostalgia and joy of the cult classic alongside beloved characters Buttercup, Westley, Inigo Montoya, Fezzik, Vizzini and so many more in the very first artistically reimagined Princess Bride Series 1 NFT Collection on the WAX Blockchain. The characters will be available in six royal rarities, including; Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Sketch.

The collection will consist of two separate pack drops, each containing cards unique to their specific drop. Each pack will have 10 NFT collectibles inside and will retail for $100. The first releases on September 28 and the second on October 5. There are only 900 packs of each drop, so make sure to be on time as they will sell out quickly! Buyers who find one of each common card will receive an ultra-rare Sketch card dropped into their wallet.

Packs go on sale on September 28 at 1PM ET and can be unboxed at 4PM ET. WAX will also offer a series of Princess Bride Open Edition Packs with brand new NFTs at a later date.

The Princess Bride is an epic tale of a journey to a far-away land with giants, dangerous fire swamps, Rodents of Unusual Size (ROUS), villainous rulers and the unbreakable bonds of true love. Collectors and film buffs will be able to experience this emotional tale through brilliantly animated NFTs of their favorite characters and moments.
